3 charged in Shippensburg Rite Aid robbery

SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP >> Three people have been charged in connection with the armed robbery of the Shippensburg Rite Aid.

Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, have arrested Aaren McMichael, 24, Shippensburg; Valicity Cordle, 20, Newburg; and Jonathan Koehler, 19, Dallas.

Police identified the suspects through a joint investigation with the Pennsylvania State Police Troop H Vice Unit and the Franklin County Drug Task Force.

Troopers responded to an armed robbery at 3:45 p.m. July 29 at the store located at 300 S. Fayette St.

Police said two people entered the store and forced all employees to the pharmacy area at knife point and fled after obtaining prescription medication.

The three were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jody C. Eyer and placed in Franklin County Jail.
