SHIPPENSBURG — According to Shippensburg Police, Dustin A. Kester, 25, Shippensburg, was arrested Saturday after allegedly assaulting his live-in girlfriend, then refusing to let her leave the room.
Police report that at around 7:45 p.m. at a West King St. residence, Kester allegedly choked and struck his girlfriend, name not released, and when she attempted to flee the bedroom to tend to her 2 and 4-year-old children, whom he allegedly pushed out of the bedroom, Kester would not let her leave the room and allegedly choked and struck her again.
Kester was arrested and charged with two counts of misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor false imprisonment, two counts of harassment and was committed to Cumberland County Prison after his $10,000 bail was not posted, according to police.
