Shippensburg >> A 38-year-old Shippensburg man was arrested Monday for the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
David Adams Jr., who was 37 at the time of the incident in June, is charged for allegedly assaulting the minor in June, but was charged additionally for allegedly supplying alcohol to the minor.
According to the release from Shippensburg Police, Adams has been charged with statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, indecent assault and furnishing alcohol to minors.
Adams turned himself into to Magisterial District Judge H. Anthony Adams’ office to be arraigned on the charges, according to the release. Adams was transported to Cumberland County Prison after bail was set at $20,000.
